KAILUA-KONA — Firefighters kept a structure fire from spreading through multiple bays at a warehouse Monday morning in Kailua-Kona.
The Hawaii Fire Department responded to a fire alarm about 10 a.m. to quash flames at a warehouse building off Lawehana Street below Costco Wholesale in the Kaloko Light Industrial Area. The building comprised about 30 bays, however, firefighters were able to keep the flames to the bay of origin, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday afternoon, according to the department. No injuries were reported and the fire did not damage any additional structures.
